Marc-André Schauwecker has several years of banking experience with a focus on legal and compliance, financial market regulation and data protection. As of February 2021, Marc-André will work for Bitcoin Suisse (Liechtenstein) AG as Head Legal and Compliance. He has worked for various banks in Switzerland and Liechtenstein – he was Senior Legal Counsel at Bank Credit Suisse and Head Legal and Compliance at Blockchain Valley Ventures and Project Leader at Bank LGT and previously at the investment bank Vontobel.

After completing his attorney’s license in the Canton of Bern, he did a PhD (while working) at the University of Basel on the topic of money laundering, after which he completed an MBA and EMBA at the University of Bern and the University of Rochester US.
