Bitcoin Suisse AG, a Switzerland-based global financial services provider specializing in crypto-assets, today announced the appointment of Rolf Gätzi as Head of Finance and Operations and of David Riegelnig as Head of Risk Management and members of the Management Committee. The two appointments are the latest step in an initiative to add experienced financial services executives to the management team in order to lead crypto financial services towards institutional grade services and products and to significantly accelerate growth.

Rolf Gätzi joins Bitcoin Suisse from Credit Suisse, where he was most recently Head of External Asset Manager (EAM) Services, and a member of the Management Committee of the External Asset Management business. During his 22 years at Credit Suisse Rolf held various senior management positions, including Head of Financial Controlling, Head of Financial Reporting and COO of Global External Asset Management as a Managing Director. He led important projects in the area of accounting, regulatory reporting, treasury as well as M&A. Rolf was also active in politics as a member of the cantonal parliament of Glarus. He earned an Executive Master’s degree in Business Administration from the Lucerne University of Applied Science, and post-graduate degrees in Accounting for Banks, Marketing and General Management.
David Riegelnig held several senior management positions at Credit Suisse and was Managing Partner of an algorithmic trading company before joining Bitcoin Suisse. During his 20-year career, David worked as an IT auditor, headed 1st and 2nd line risk control functions and was an entrepreneur. David has been an active investor in the field of blockchain and cryptocurrencies in recent years. He earned a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of St. Gallen.
