Bitcoin Suisse appoints Lothar Cerjak as Head of ICO
Bitcoin Suisse AG, a Switzerland-based global financial services provider specializing in crypto-assets, today announced the appointment of Lothar Cerjak as Head of ICO. After Bitcoin Suisse has strengthened its management team with experienced experts in finance, operations, risk and trading over the past few months, Lothar Cerjak will drive the company’s next growth step in Initial Coin Offerings (ICO) and Token Generation Events (TGE). Niklas Nikolajsen, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Co-CEO of Bitcoin Suisse, said: "In order to further develop crypto financial services and realize their full potential, we are working on services and products that allow institutional investors and banks to become active in them in a scalable way. Our goal is for crypto assets to become an integral part of the financial markets. The decisive factor is that we succeed in attracting experienced experts from banks and asset management firms to our company. In 2018 we made very significant progress in this direction. I am delighted that Lothar Cerjak, another proven leader and a highly experienced capital markets expert, has chosen to join us. He will continue to develop our ICO business in view of the increasing institutionalization of crypto-financial services as we strive to remain the standard bearer in this area." Arthur Vayloyan, CEO of Bitcoin Suisse, said: "Initial Coin Offerings, Token Generation Events and Asset Tokenization in general are an integral part of the growth of the crypto asset and of crypto-financial services market. Bitcoin Suisse has shaped these markets throughout its five-year history and has led some of the largest ICO projects worldwide. For Bitcoin Suisse, this business will continue to be a central element of our value creation. Success in the ICO/TGE market requires careful analysis and selection of projects as well as scale and efficiency in implementation and distribution. Lothar Cerjak brings more than 30 years of capital market experience to our firm. His expertise will be crucial for us to open up and conquer the institutional market with our offering. I am delighted to be working with Lothar on the continued success of Bitcoin Suisse." Lothar Cerjak joins Bitcoin Suisse after almost 25 years with Credit Suisse. At Credit Suisse he held the position of Managing Director and over the course of his career assumed a wide range responsibilities in Switzerland and Singapore, including: Head of Cross Asset Execution, International Trading Solutions, Head of Advisory & Order Fulfillment, and Head of Swiss Franc Secondary Bond and Options Trading. Before joining Credit Suisse, he worked from 1985 to 1994 as a securities, equities and derivatives trader for Graubündner Kantonalbank, Bank Vontobel and Marc Rich Holding. Lothar Cerjak is a Certified Business Economist (KSZ) and Certified European Financial Analyst.
